Hi, I’m Lauren (aka “the kettlebell queen”)
I’m a fitness coach, proud mom of 2 beautiful girls, 2 bulldogs and life long student.
I specialize in training boss women, and new moms, who crave an approach to fitness that can keep inches off their waist, sculpt their body, make them strong AF, and reduce aches & pains.
Basically, I help these ladies get what they want…
…which is to age gracefully by becoming leaner, stronger, and more fit than they’ve felt in many years.
Women often seek me out after they’ve tried things like:
- group exercise
- yoga
- running
But despite the sweat and hours clocked, her body doesn’t look or feel the way she hoped.
If this resonates, whatever your recent activities have been, the common problem is:
Your exercise plan isn’t delivering the results you want.
You need a better approach.
One that builds the body you’ve been chasing for a long time.
That’s the challenge I LOVE helping women overcome.
And I do it with my unique combination of strength training, nutrition coaching, and pain reduction methods.
But how I got here is an unlikely story…
From “weak and scrawny” to helping 10,000+ people become strong & fit.
Adding up everyone I’ve trained in person with those who purchased my DVDs and online programs, I’ve helped over 10,000 people.
Yet, even with a crystal ball, none of that was predictable.
As a kid, I was weak and scrawny. I couldn’t do a pull-up to save my life.
Not quite a kettlebell queen (yet), right?
At 16, I started to become fed up with how I felt and looked physically. I even felt angry. It was taking a toll on my confidence.
Kids made fun of me for having skinny legs, and I didn’t like what I saw in the mirror.
I started feeling less than.
Maybe you can relate?
So, I resolved to become strong.
It took months of old-school weight training at a 24-Hour Fitness gym…
…but I began to see incredible changes that made me feel happy and confident for the first time in my life.
Later, I would learn better methods to get the body I wanted, but making myself strong and fit was the first step.
Along the way, I’ve taken many more steps so I could learn how to help others…
Recognized by Nike but still upping my game.
I began my fitness career as a personal trainer at the ripe young age of 19, while earning my degree in Kinesiology.
Since then, and because I always want to improve, I’ve racked up numerous certifications with kettlebells, barbells, TRX, and battling ropes.
All this knowledge allowed me to build a reputation for impacting peoples’ lives, which led to recognition from some fairly big brand names.
Over the years, I’ve appeared on NBC to demonstrate how to do quick workouts with kettlebells.
Later, I even became a brand ambassador for Nike SPARQ .
And, from years of teaching and training with kettlebells, I was named a Senior Instructor for StrongFirst.
What’s a Senior Instructor?
It’s a title given to a select group of kettlebell instructors – those who’ve developed a high skill-level and ability to teach strength training.
While I’m proud of those titles and certifications, there’s something else that’s been just as important in helping women like you…
I’ve been out of shape and injured…and I know how to turn it all around.
The physical challenges I endured in the past have helped me understand how to help women who also suffered from injuries, or other aches and pains.
Years ago, my pregnancies required recovering from two grueling C-sections. I had to overcome more pain and physical weakness than I could have imagined.
So, I know what it feels like to lose your strength.
I know how difficult it can be to regain your old fitness level.
But I also remember how fast my body improved and that my strength skyrocketed with proper kettlebell training.
What accounts for that kind of quick recovery?
Yes, kettlebells play a big role, for sure.
But it’s also the power of smart program design and knowing that different programs work for unique periods in your life.
These experiences have given me critical lessons…lessons that I use to help clients who struggle with being out of shape or need to overcome injuries and pains.
From it all, I’ve created a process that can get people where they want to be 99% of the time.
When I’m not coaching? Snowboarding, dancing in the kitchen, and hip hop.
If you want to know a little more about me…
Thank you. I’m flattered!
When I’m not hosting kettlebell workshops or launching my in-demand membership program, Lauren’s Playground, I can be found…
- Raising 4 kids while staying fit. I spend a whole lotta time with my four beautiful kids. That means getting them ready for school, cooking, having meals together, and even doing fun stuff like bike rides. And, yet, I still squeeze in my workouts each week. It’s not easy, but it’s possible if you’re committed and have good habits. (I love showing moms how!)
- Walking my two bulldogs in sunny California while listening to 90’s hip-hop.
- Our next destinations are Spain & Scotland.
- Snowboarding. We used to go in the winter, but I’ve become a wuss about cold weather as I’ve gotten older, so now it’s only in the springtime.
- Days off for my introverted self. Even though I’ve shot dozens of workout DVDs and love working with people, I’m still kinda an introvert. Which is why taking a day off fills me up.
- Movies and TV with my husband. We love curling up on the couch and watching shows like FAUDA and Ozark.
- Dancing in the kitchen with my three girls. No, I’m not afraid to do this!
Let’s work together!
